Happy Anniversary

It is our 8th anniversary today!! I am very grateful for my husband and family. I was thinking today about how it was feeling like just another same ol same ol day. Feed the kids, clean up after kids, laundry, shovel snow in my pjs, create shopping list, clean house, Bryce at work, ect. But then I started thinking that really this was the dream all along. Have kids, tend my own house, have a wonderful husband, etc.! So this day I truly am grateful for the joys in my life. Happy Anniversary honey!! Here are some pics of our early anniversary get away last month in Vegas- just the two of us. We had a really great time!!

Soccer and Pumpkins

Carson had a fun season playing soccer. He was one of the lead scorers. We were proud parents. He learned a lot. The week of Halloween the kindergarteners had a pumpkin carving night with a cute little singing program!!

Kindergarten

Here are some cute pics of carson's first day of kingdergarten. (better late than never) He loves his teacher Mrs. Makings and everything is an adventure. It is so fun to see him accomplish and discover daily!! We have our first parent-teacher conference tonight so I hope it is a good report. He is getting better about telling me what he did at school. He is a man of little words when it comes to explaining. I ask him often and the same response is "I don't know" or "nothing". But I eventually get a little information to go on. I love Carson and have enjoyed his enjoyment of learning- I hope it always continues!!

Hoogle Zoo and Aquarium

 

Our family vacation this year was to Utah visiting Grandma and grandpa great and going to the zoo, aquarium, the aerospace museum, and a fun ride on the frontrunner commuter train. "A real train" as Carson called it. We had a lot of fun!!

Splash Park

 

We took a little trip to see Scott and Brittany in Rexburg before they moved to California. We had a fun little adventure. These are a few pics of the day at the Splash Park playing in the water, toys, and flying a kite. Thanks scott and brittany for the fun weekend.

Cousins Camping

 

While aunt Tina and kids were here for July one of the many activities we did was going camping in the South Hills for a night. Lots of good food, dirt, hiking, and just plain mountain fun!! Loggen, Hadlee, Brayden, Chase, Wesley, Lilly, Maddy, Rees, Mazy, and of course Carson and Briley.
We also went swimming with cousins a few times this summer at Nat-Soo-Pah. I failed to take any pics of that but Bri did and posted them on facebook for us!!

Spotlights of June

 

We spent June in swim lessons, playing with new kittens, riding bikes, just enjoying being outside!! Carson also learned to ride his bike without training wheels!! He is now a pro!!

Mother's Day photo shoot

These are a few photos that we took for my mom for mother's day. Briley was not cooperative but we got a few good ones. By the way the cute little baby girl is my niece Avery(Brian's baby).

These pictures were taken in February while we were staying with my parents. They had fun playing pirates with Grandpa Olsen. Aren't they just cute?!!

2nd Birthday!!

 

Stitches and all!! We went to Grandmas to have dinner and birthday ice cream on her BD (March 18th). Briley got to open one present before she tripped and hit her forhead just right and hard enough we had to visit the ER to get 6 stitches. She was a good sport. We even came back and continued a small BD celebration. Happy birthday Briley!! This will be one to remember!!

Carson is 5!!!

 

March 1st Carson turned 5! Carson just couldn't wait to turn five and now he is counting down the days to six! He is getting pretty big. He is learning his alphabet and their sounds and is starting to put things together. He can't wait to read. We had a a small but fun party this year. Here are some pics.

So I was looking on my sister in law's blog & she posted this pic of her daughter Avery & I thought that looks familiar so I scanned old photos of Briley & found this one. It must be the pajamas!!

Kids- oh my!!

So tonight I decided to let Carson brush his own teeth- get the toothpaste on & brush on his own. I am trying to help him be more independent now that he is turning five. Well, I go in the bathroom to check on him & he was brushing, but with ICY-HOT. Poor kid, I don't know how he got a hold of that. Anyway, called poison control- (all good), did a little toothpaste identification lesson & rebrushed with real toothpaste. I tell ya some days I just don't know. Then there is miss Briley who is too independent. Everything is "I do it" "I choose"- her favorite phrase right now is "Can I have it?" Love these crazy munchkins!!

Almost Done!!!

So we will be moving in next week!! It is about time. We are all so ready. It is looking nice & I can't wait to make it mine again. I will try to remember to take more pics before we move in.
