Trip to New Mexico

The end of July we decided to go visit Brian, Bonnie, Avery, and Aspen in Los Almos along with Grandma and Grandpa Olsen and Jessica! It was a long drive, but a nice, fun trip!




Stop at Arches National Parks in Moab UT.












We then stopped in Colorado for a night or two to break up the trip. We floated down the river and strolled about. It was nice! Brian and Bonnie and the girls drove up to hang out too before heading to their place.
































We even stopped at Carson's very own forest on the way to New Mexico.




We took a little bus trip to Bandolier, NM to visit the Indian ruins for our first day adventure!








Saw some little chipmunks along the way! Cute ones I would say!

Fun family times! Just wish dad would have been able to skip out on work and come with us, otherwise a nice vacation with the fam!

Favorite summer Pics

Since we are headed into fall and all the wonderful things that brings, I thought I would catch up on some of our fun times and cute pics from this summer.


Carson had a fun and very successful season in his first time playing baseball! Swing... Batter, batter.





We had to try out our new tent and decided a low key camping trip to Nat-Soo-Pah's camp ground would be fun and it was! S'mores and all!





We then went swimming all morning the next day. We went swimming about once a week or so this summer too! I now have a couple little fish!

4th of July Fun

Face painting, games, and singing at our ward Fourth of July breakfast!

Had to take out Grandpa Olsen's newest 4-wheeler purchase so went up to Cherry Springs and rode for a few hours. It was fun, but the last time me and baby boy are riding for a while.


We went to The Roper's house for dinner and a great fireworks show. It was fun. Carson wasn't a big fan of all the ash and debris that landed on us on occasion, but loved the spinner ones. Briley and I just enjoyed it all! Just wished Daddy wasn't up at scout camp all week!

Had our ultrasound today and everything looks good! Baby boy was very active today! Got a few good shots though! Still due in October - hope it goes fast!

Testimony

So if anyone who reads this blog and knows me, knows that I share my emotions freely through my tears, especially if I am sharing something special. So today my heart was so full and I just needed to bear my testimony. You know it is bad when you are starting to tear up as you walk to the microphone. So I blubbered through my testimony and made it- barely. I just had to share how grateful I am for all that I have and for the church and gospel and the people and blessings that come through having the gospel in my life. So every time I cry Carson gets embarrassed and Briley tries to help me wipe my tears. So funny.
Then after church while waiting for dinner, Briley was playing with her stuffed bunny and set it on a little chair and stands at the front of the room and pretends to bear her testimony (just like mom). She folded her arms, pretended to cry and say sorry for crying (just like mom) and then said a few things. It was so adorable. I am grateful that she recognized it and hopefully helps hers to develop. She teaches me so much. She is one of the many blessings I am grateful for.
